Love this podcast! The lifeblood of any business is sales and Christine does an amazing job of making sales something you'll fall in love with instead of dread. These podcasts are short and get staright to the point, filling you with both the knowledge and motivation to go out and bring in lots more money to your business by selling from your heart. [3:12] If you want to attract a certain kind of person, you have to look at yourself, how do you show up when you are someone’s client.

Hi Gorgeous. This is episode number 342. You are listening to Heart Sells Podcast. I’m your host, Christine Schlonski. And today’s variety Friday, the day where I share some of my resources, where I might make some recommendations in regards to books and other amazing tools. And also where I answer your questions or where I just share from all the knowledge and all the experience I have gathered over the years. Today’s topic is actually going to be about How to Attract the Right Kind of Client, and who you need to be to attract this wonderful person. And if you’re familiar with my work, I call it Soulmate Clients. So before we dive in, in case we have not met yet, I’m Christine Schlonski, the Founder of Heart Sells! Academy, the Creator of the Heart Sells! Members Community, and obviously the Host of Heart Sells! Podcast and I am so super pumped, you’re here. I work with heart-centered, ambitious entrepreneurs who just love what they do. But they really have a difficult time selling. And I show them how to sell with ease, grace, and confidence, how to be true to their values in the process, and also how to ask their price and create a thriving business that they just love. And this episode is brought to you by Heart Sells! Academy. And I am so super pumped. So let’s dive right in.
Whatever qualities you want to have put that in your journal, write it out, and get really, really clear.
How can you attract your best Soulmate Client, the client that puts a smile on your face, the client that makes you happy, the client you are proud of, and the client, you basically can’t believe that they are working with you? During the past couple of months, I had several clients who really said, Wow, I can’t believe I attracted this wonderful client. And I really feel like they’re already so much further along than I am. And I can’t even imagine why they come and work with me. So first of all, just a little reminder, your Soulmate Client knows, they know how to choose, they know if you are the right person or not. And they make the decision, not you. So if you attract someone where you think like they’re so much further along, just trust that in the space where you support them, they are not much further along, it might seem when you look from the outside at their business, but it is not when you look from the inside because they have a gap. And they think and believe that you can close the gap. And when you feel like you want to work with them, and it is a great match. Don’t waste your time and energy and feeling insecure because you tell yourself the story of they are already so much further along. And then another thing, I really, really think it’s so super important. And it has to do with your Frequency and has to do with resonating with that Soulmate Client. So if you want to attract a certain kind of person, you have to look at yourself, how do you show up when you are someone’s client. And basically, how we act, how we show up, our clients will also show up to us in the same way. So if you are a Soulmate Client for someone, if you are the dream client, if you put a smile on the face of the person you work with, then I can assure you that your Soulmate Clients will show up in the same way. If you respect someone’s time, your Soulmate Clients will respect your time. If you are ready to invest on a higher level, your Soulmate Clients will be able to invest on a higher level. If you are actually a pain in the neck because you’re not happy with your choice. And you might be criticizing and showing up in not such a nice way. Well, I can assure you that you have some of those clients in your client portfolio as well.
So the question is, who do you need to become to be the perfect Soulmate Client yourself? And I think you can just sit down and really journal that out. What are all the qualities that you just love, love, love, love that your Soulmate Client brings? And then have a look at yourself like, how do you show up for the people that you have hired? So for example, I just noticed the other day that sometimes I go a little bit over time because I do feel I really, really, really want to serve my clients. And, you know, obviously respecting someone’s time is super important, because at the same time I am telling my clients are not respectful of my own time, right. So it’s vice versa. And interestingly, I also noticed with one of my coaches, that she went for a much longer time than we had planned because we discussed another situation. And it just took way longer. And I had this revelation, I thought, wow. Right. So I’m, actually, I know, I’m her Soulmate Client, but in this area of respecting her time, I did take what I could get, right? I did not put a boundary. And I could have said, Well, listen, I know we are already completely over time. So do you want to discuss that in our next session? Or would you like us to go ahead, and find a way to kind of compensate for the time? And just having this realization, like, you know, it did feel a little bit strange. But it is so true because I could turn around and I could see how I am over-serving, and how my clients, my Soulmate Clients take that for granted. And it’s you know, that’s not to say like, they’re not my Soulmate Clients in any way, shape or form, it’s just that I noticed that I have this little gap was being respectful of my time because I enjoy so much talking to my Soulmate Clients, that sometimes I give way more than in the session that was planned. So if that makes sense to you, and that does not need to be time, I just chose that example. Because it was what I realized, with myself and within my business. And it could be something else for you, it could maybe be that you never ever really invest in yourself, right? And you always try to get like the free stuff. And then you wonder why you only have freebie hunters on your email list or why people have like, price negotiations with you or why everybody tells you I can’t afford your services. That could be could be a point. And you know, time investment, or that you might be someone who’s super picky. And you know, we are all humans, sometimes things don’t work out the way they were planned. So are you flexible with the people you’re working with? Or do you get totally upset? And you know, start a blame game? But if you do, I’m quite sure you have some clients in your client base that do the same as you and I’m quite sure that you do not enjoy that game. So have a look, where can you basically change? Where can you show up in a much better way in a way you want your clients to show up. And then just go out and be that client, if you want for people to invest into your services, and you are not investing into yourself, well change it, find the perfect person or the perfect program or whatever really, really feels aligned, and then stretch yourself. Because then your Soulmate Clients will also stretch themselves because they know they need to work with you. And you also know that you need to work with a certain person or you need to join a certain program. So you can totally do that by observing how you act, analyzing it, and then making new decisions like how do you want to show up? What do you want to happen so that your Soulmate Clients are truly a Soulmate Client on every single level, from let’s say, time investment to money investment to do the work, to getting results to really have this amazing, amazing time together. And what do you need to do within yourself that you really, really show up? So for example, I hopped off a call with my coach yesterday, and she gave me homework. So this morning, I sat down and I did my homework. So I could say well, I did my homework right for the accountability piece. But also I knew was really important and the sooner I did it, the sooner I would get results. And I had this moment where I wanted to procrastinate, because our next call is, you know, a while away. But then I thought, No, I’m not gonna do this, I want to be that Soulmate Client, for my coach. And I want to be in the position where she says, Well, you are such an amazing client to work with. Because I know if that resonates, it will also resonate in the other direction that my Soulmate Clients will actually get results, do their homework. So have a look at this. Have fun, play with it. And really, really be mindful. Don’t beat yourself up. But where are some gaps that you want to fill? And where do you show up in a way that you don’t really like to show up in that way, and then just start changing it? And if it’s something big, well, you know, baby steps will get you there as well. It’s one step at a time. So what can you do to be the perfect client, the perfect Soulmate Client, and then also put whatever qualities you want you to have for you? So my clients, put that in your journal, write it out, and get really, really clear.
