[6:27] Sales can be beautiful, that sales are actually love, that sales can be fun and that you can not only just grow your business and make your dreams come true, but in the process, this will only work when you help others to make their dreams come true.

[10:59] If you only attract your soulmate client, you will not have people that are wasting your time, or that are tire kickers, because they will sort themselves out at the very beginning.

Hi Gorgeous. This is episode number 299. You’re listening to Heart Sells! Podcast. I’m your host, Christine Schlonski. And it is variety Friday, the day where I answer your questions where I share resources with you all. We just share for my personal journey so that it helps you to avoid some mistakes, or to be inspired or to be uplifted because you learn what might be possible that you have not thought possible. Because I love to pay it forward and I get so much inspiration from my beautiful guests here at Heart Sells! Podcast, from the people I connect with on my online summits, on my virtual Masterclasses, in the Masterminds I am in or in the programs, so that I just feel sharing what I’m learning and you know, helping you on your journey is inspirational and worth all the efforts.

Before we dive in. In today’s topic, I just want to share with you that everything starts with an idea. And I know that’s not new to you, you know that but as a reminder, everything starts with an idea. So just imagine it is October 2 in 2018. And I’m sitting on a train going into the heart of Berlin, to finally meet in person, an amazing, amazing person who has been my guest on an online summit and also on Heart Sells! Podcasts. And I know that I will have a whole day with a guest and his beautiful girlfriend. And I get the opportunity to show them one of my favorite cities here in Germany, which is Berlin. And to show them like places they would not have gotten to as tourists because tourists just don’t know about those places.

So I’m on the train writing into the city, going to the meeting point. And you know, thinking like, what would the day be like, you know, wondering like?

Well, we’ve never met in person. So what’s going to happen, and I have this whole plan of where I can go and what I can show them. And when I get there, we just, you know, it’s so natural, we just say hello. And it kind of feels familiar. Did you ever have that feeling when you meet someone and it feels familiar? So during the course of the day, I have that wonderful opportunity showing off my favorite city going to all these places, and also being on top of the highest building in Berlin, overlooking the city. It’s already in October. It’s a very cold day, and we’re all freezing. And it’s you know, pretty unpleasant, sometimes with some rain coming down. But on the top of the building, it’s so beautiful. There’s a beautiful cafe, and you know, we have something to drink and to eat. And then I told a story. And I’m just saying, you know, I’ve done online summits, I’ve done these masterclasses, I love The Sales Mentality Makeover Masterclass, and know what, I’m just gonna do a podcast.

Well, the thing is, it always depends who you’re talking to. In this particular case, I had the immense pleasure of talking to John Lee Dumas, from “Entrepreneurs On Fire”. And his beautiful girlfriend, Kate Erickson, who has a wonderful podcast as well “Ditch Busy”, and she had Kate’s take before. So I’m talking to the podcasters not knowing anything about podcasting, but just having an idea. And by saying that idea, I’m getting chills right now. But I’m saying that idea by actually having it come out of my brain traveling through my mouth. Getting it out to one of the biggest podcasters on this planet. There was no way I could go back after I said that. And I also made it a little bit more difficult to go back. I said I’m going to release that for my birthday. It’s going to be a birthday present to my community, to my tribe, to those people that love what they do, who are heart-centered driven. They really want to make the world a better place. But they’re fearful and reluctant about sales, they don’t know where to start. Sales always feel bad for them.

And Heart Sells! Podcast is supposed to be the inspiration, is supposed to show them stories of successful heart-centered entrepreneurs who overcame all of these challenges, who have a thriving business, who are building the lives of their dreams, having the freedom they’re looking for and the impact. So can you imagine sitting there on October 2nd, at one of the tallest buildings at Potsdamer Platz, overlooking the city, having a cup of coffee or tea? And me putting out that idea. It did put me under pressure right after it was out, I kind of stopped for a second and I had to take a deep breath, thinking, wow, what have I just said, but then I was excited about the idea, and I did not have any reason to procrastinate or to delay the idea. So what I did next, was taking John Lee Dumas free course at Entrepreneurs On Fire on how to podcast. And because I wanted more, I also signed up for his amazing podcast course, which gave me the strategies and the foundation of how to build a really great podcast.

So that was two years ago. And next week, we will be on episode 300. And I’m so super excited that we are that I was able to share so many wonderful heart-centered entrepreneurs with you to hopefully help you really on your journey help you to see that sales can be beautiful, that sales are actually love, that sales can be fun, and that you can not only just grow your business and make your dreams come true, but in the process, this will only work when you help others to make their dreams come true. So I just wanted to share the story. And you know, Heart Sells! Podcast will turn a year in about five weeks from today. And I just thought this could be inspirational.

If you are thinking about something and you have not yet taken action. Find someone you admire. And let the person know. I felt that after telling John Lee Dumas and Kate Erickson that I’m going to have a podcast, there was no way I could go back and procrastinate, the only way that was possible was to take massive, massive action and move forward and bring Heart Sells! Podcast to life, which at that point I didn’t know that this is going to be Heart Sells! Podcast. And I just had the idea that I wanted to have something on a regular basis that gives value to the world that I enjoy. And where I can help my tribe to make their dreams come true. Because I know that they will help me to make my dreams come true.

So think about this today, what can you do to help other people make their dreams come true? What’s your special gift, what’s a special something you are bringing to the world. And if you’re not quite sure, ask your friends, ask other people what they think about your special gifts, how you help them, how you touch them, how you impact their lives, and really find a way to express that whatever that looks like for you. It might be blogging, that’s how I started out. And it could be that you love online summits or online events. So you do that. It could be that you are the born podcaster. And if not, don’t worry, it can be learned. And just find something that puts you on fire that makes you happy that you really, really truly enjoy. And then go for it and be consistent. Don’t give up. Just find a way where you can show up each and every time you say you will and really nurture that relationship with your listeners or viewers. So that one day, the people who feel that it’s right for them can actually come into your world and pay for your services and products.

And in relation to that, I want to answer a question from the Heart Sells Community. So if you hop on over to Facebook, and you just type in Heart Sells Community, you will find my free Facebook group. And this Facebook group is for heart-centered driven entrepreneurs who really want to make the world a better place but struggle when it comes to selling their services and products. And when you come to the group, you answer three questions. And then there’s also one post that’s pinned to the top of the page, which says what would be the number one topic you would love me to talk about when it comes to sales? And there are quite a few comments. And one comment I have not yet answered so far is the comment that Celeste is making where she says “Stop the Time Wasters and Tire Kickers” which probably means that there are a lot of people that ask her for support but then do not move forward, who can’t make a clear decision and who are wasting her time.

So if you are in the position where you feel like oh, I have that as well. And I for sure had when I started out my business, I had a lot of people who loved what I did, but were not capable in any way, shape, or form to pay for what they wanted to purchase. And that’s something that can be very disappointing because you meet great people, you have wonderful conversations, it’s taking up a lot of your time and energy. And then at the end of the day, you’re making an invitation. And they have to decline because they’re not making any money whatsoever. And they do not have any resources or can’t find any resources to move forward. So if you’re in the position where you feel like you are not yet dialed into your soulmate clients, something is really, really off, then this is what I want to cover with you today to get really clear on your soulmate client because if you only attract your soulmate client, you will not have people that are wasting your time, or that are tire kickers, because they will sort themselves out at the very beginning.

So what do you need to do to get to the point where you only attract your soulmate clients or let’s just say where you mostly attract your soulmate clients is getting really, really clear on what you offer. That is the number one reason that you are not really really clear, crystal clear on what you offer, and who this is for. And that will send out mixed messages. And then therefore will attract all different kinds of people including the time wasters and tire kickers. So when you get clear on what you want to do and who this is for, I would just recommend to sit down and really write it down. Start with your personal gift. If you are a coach, if you’re a consultant, usually you go way, way too broad. You want to help everybody and you feel like you can help everybody because you’ve learned the tools. And I 100% agree, there’s probably only rare cases where you could not make any kind of positive impact. But what you also do is when you are too broad in your offerings, you are limiting yourself. And you are limiting that possibility to have a business that’s profitable, to have the right people in place, who pay you who don’t discuss anything, but who are just happy that you have taken them on board and help them with a transformation.

So getting really clear on who you serve is one thing. And I always describe that by decorating your door. Because you have a whole house and in the house, there are several rooms. And depending on what that particular one client, so my client needs, you can show them a certain room first, maybe they need to come and visit the kitchen, or you show them the living room or you show them the bathroom or you show them whatever the room is, but they need to come and enter your door and entering your door means they are booking your service or product with you they are purchasing, there is an exchange of energy and form of money. And I think that’s so, so important to really understand what are you putting on your door so that the person can come in? right for me, I put on my door sales, like selling from your heart, selling bless your heart, being authentic, being true to your values, offering amazing value-creating relationships, Heart Sells, that’s the decoration of my door. So usually my soulmate client, if they have not been recommended by someone and they don’t know me, but they come into my world, they will be triggered by the world sales, they will respond to the pain they have around selling, not feeling great or not feeling authentic, or being afraid that they have to become the sleazy car dealer that sells the car to whoever says yes first. So they feel like they don’t want to be pushy, and they have a perception of sales that needs to be redefined. And that’s what we do.

So when they come into the door, no matter if it’s one on one coaching, if it is group coaching, if it is my membership, if it actually is maybe a done for you service where we also do the technical support and work one on one, whatever it is when people come into the door they come through sales, they do not necessarily expect that when you see sales holistically. These are the rooms where we can have a look where things might not be in order or things might not be aligned. They might not come when I talk about self-care or self-love, they might not come when I talk about strategies and tactics, they might not come when I talk about energy. And when I talk about dynamics in sales or sales conversations, that’s what they get and those different rooms, but they come into the door because they feel the pain of not being able to move forward because people don’t buy from them. And that pain is clear that pain can be really addressed. And that’s how people know that what I offer could potentially be for them. So once you get clear on that piece, then you want to look into it, how do I be clear on who this is for and that we will cover in the next episode because I do have some ideas that I want to share with you for episode number 302. Where we will go into well, now you decorated your door. Now what?
