Hey Gorgeous. This is episode number 263. You’re listening to Heart Sells! Podcast. I’m your host, Christine Schlonski. And it is Variety Friday. I hope you had an amazing, amazing successful week and you feel great. And you have served many, many people and have created impact in their lives as well as in yours. So Friday’s Variety Fridays are for sharing resources, answering your questions, sharing some of my knowledge. And lately I have heard the question quite often do you have a morning routine? And I thought, well, that’s interesting. Yes, I do. And I thought I’m just going to share with you So starting off your morning getting in the right mindset in the right state. It’s so important especially if you have sales calls, especially when you connect to others. Which you probably will do if you don’t live on an island all by yourself. You will have interactions and every interaction is meaningful. And you can set that intention right in the morning. So what I am doing is basically I wake up hopefully without the help of an alarm clock. Sometimes depending on my schedule in the morning, I do set an alarm but oftentimes I just leave it off and trust that I will wake up at the perfect time. So obviously, if you have a job and you need to be at your desk, let’s say at eight o’clock, then this might be a bit risky not to put an alarm. But if you are an entrepreneur and you have your own schedule, which I hope you do, then you know you can just go to bed and put the intention out that you wake up early in the morning refreshed at the right time. To start your day relaxed, and interestingly, this is what happens for me, I sometimes wake up like five minutes before the alarm clock if I set one, or I will wake up even earlier than I thought I would be waking up because I always calculate the hours I want to sleep. And this is something you might be looking into as well.
So you have your deep sleep phase. And these phases are like 90 minutes, you can Google that but when you sleep, you have like this deep phase and if you wake up in the middle of this deep phase, you probably will feel like a train has run over you. So I try to avoid setting an alarm if I have to set one that would wake me up in that deep face. And it’s pretty safe to say that every 90 minutes, your sleep is pretty light and then you wake up easier. So when I go to bed, I calculate, like, Do I want four and a half hours of sleep? Do I want six hours of sleep? or seven and a half? Or do I want nine hours of sleep? And then I could just make the decision. And when I set an alarm, I do calculate and think, Well, you know, I have six hours or seven and a half hours. That way, I make sure that I’m not waking up when I’m like really in deep deep sleep. Because that just doesn’t feel good when you are kind of cut out of your, your dream or like, yeah, it’s just not a good feeling. And you probably know what I mean, because I think we all have been there where we had to wake up by alarm or by something that was going on and all of a sudden, we were awake from that deep sleep and we did not feel great about it. So that’s one thing I make sure so I would love to invite you to give that a try. Test it out how that works for you.
And then in the morning, when I do wake up, I try to catch my thoughts right away, because it’s so important to really watch and manage what you think about. And this probably takes a little bit of training to really start managing your thoughts. And obviously, there are thoughts that come in that I don’t like and I don’t want so I try to stop them by just saying stop and by really thinking about something else, that creates better emotions in my body. So in the morning when I wake up, the first thing I try to do is I find three things that I’m grateful for. And that could just be the warm and cozy bed right. You don’t need to overcomplicate it, but starting your day with gratitude right away is a really amazing feeling. When you start with your to-do list where many people do what I used to do in the past and oh, what do I have to do today? You’re already in that hamster wheel and it’s not great. It’s not good for feeling grounded and balanced and harmony.
So I start with three things I’m grateful for. And then I get up and now it’s summer here in Germany. So it’s usually beautiful outside sometimes, you know, the sun is just getting out the sun is just rising. And then I just go for a walk. Right? I try not to think about it. I just put on my clothes and I go out for a walk. And I connect with nature and you know, I, I don’t run right away. I just walk a little bit. I warm up my body, I get my thoughts going. And then sometimes I run a little bit. Sometimes I don’t. It really depends on how I feel and what I want to create. I do a little bit of exercise. And then after that morning routine, you know, when I’m all warmed up, I do meditate at the end, like as a cooldown, so to speak. And I always ask in that meditation for inspiring thought, and for something positive, right?
And then depending on you know, the way I worked out, I have a shower, and then I go and I journal. And in my journal, I, you know, I kind of put what I want to create. I’m not writing my journal in a way where I complain or where I kind of writes down what has happened. I always write into the future or into the now. For example, I have an amazing conversations that lead to sales each and every day. Or I would write while I am outstanding and what I do and my soulmate clients love and appreciate me, like stuff like that’s really uplifting for you. And if you have something that’s going on that you might be a little bit fearful of, you could just write that out how it will happen, how it will turn out into your favor. For example, if you think well, I have a conversation with a client and that might be a difficult one. You can just set the intention in your journal, how you want us to turn out how you want your client to feel after the conversation. How do you want to feel after the conversation, and then you just create what you want to have happen? And you hold the space for this.
So I’m not saying that you just write it out and this magic, it happens exactly the way you thought it would. But by being intentional about what you do, how you think how you feel, you’re setting the tone for your day, you’re opening up to creating your opening up to co-create with the universe, right or this God, whatever you call that higher power, your higher self you connect. And from that space, you are so much more grounded and in harmony with yourself, that you will have different thoughts. You will have different emotions because our thoughts create emotions and then the emotions will create the way how we act or react. Right. So by managing your thoughts, you’re actually managing your emotions. And by managing your emotions, you’re managing your actions. So if your overall thought is that you want more impact you want more love. If you want more joy, you want more impact, right? You want to create more, you need to open up to that. And I feel in the morning routine, this is really possible. And it doesn’t need to take long, right?
Maybe you say, well, you know, I want to get through all of that in half an hour, you can go through that in five minutes. That’s a really amazing book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, I can highly recommend that. It does say so that you’re supposed to get up at five o’clock and depending on your day and your work hours or how you are creating your lifestyle. Five o’clock might not be realistic. So don’t beat yourself up. Right, maybe you are working in different time zones. And that could mean you’re working way earlier than the rest of the world around you or way later than the rest of the world around you and that’s totally fine. So just make sure you have enough sleep and then you create you the day around your needs around who you are the higher self of you who you want to become who you want to grow into. And you can handle that was your morning routine. So I really hope that helped and that is inspiring to you.
