Love this podcast! The lifeblood of any business is sales and Christine does an amazing job of making sales something you'll fall in love with instead of dread. These podcasts are short and get staright to the point, filling you with both the knowledge and motivation to go out and bring in lots more money to your business by selling from your heart. The highest self you have today might not be the highest self you have in a week, because you probably already have grown. But take what’s available right now and just make the best out of it.

It’s not your highest self that you can be in the moment where you are relaxed, rejuvenated, open, and you can really truly listen to what your customers or potential customers or your tribe are saying.

You are, therefore, every single breath, and you need to make sure that you not only function but that you thrive.

Hey Gorgeous. This is episode number 182. You are listening to Heart Sells! Podcast. I’m your host, Christine Schlonski. It is variety Friday. I am so excited you’re here. Today, I want to actually cover a very important topic. I know I’ve covered this before in different shapes and forms. But again, I just had a reminder myself and I thought, “Well, I need to share with you.” So you can make sure you have this important point of fact that you take great care of yourself while working and hustling in your business. While you get to your six-figure mark or beyond or maybe you’re already working on seven figures or eight. It doesn’t really matter where you are on your journey. You really need to make sure that you do not get burned out, which means you need to plan in time to relax to rejuvenate to just do nothing.
After quite some intense weeks where I kind of had to jump in, which wasn’t really foreseen, I mean, I didn’t set myself up for working that much in the first place, but it just happened. Since I wanted to deliver, I just had to jump in. Those weeks were pretty, pretty intense. Then I decided that I need to take good care of myself because I could feel that I was getting more and more tired each and every day. And the issue is that if you are tired, if you are stressed in a certain way, you cannot fully show up as your best self because there’s this energy kind of dragging you down, or you are tired and you can’t really focus or concentrate, or whatever it is. It’s not your highest self that you can be in the moment where you are relaxed, rejuvenated, open, and you can really truly listen to what your customers or potential customers or your tribe are saying.
A very important point is self-care. There’s a whole episode on that if you take good care of yourself you sell more. And this is so true. Once you are open and relaxed, you will have a higher frequency and in this higher frequency, you can serve so much better. So today I just wanted to hop on to let you know that you need to take the best care of yourself before you take care of anybody else. Because you are the most important person in your life. You wake up with yourself you go to sleep as yourself. You are, therefore, every single breath, and you need to make sure that you not only function but that you thrive. How else can you build a thriving business if you are not thriving? Make sure you have these days or half days or hours are moments planned just for you. You also put them into your calendar. Because if you don’t do that, you keep putting it off. And that just actually happened to me. I was like, “Oh, yeah, I’m going to do like half a spa day. And I’m going to do this for a couple of hours and I’m just going to go out for a walk.” And then other things that seemed more pressing came up, and I jumped in to do those things. So I was making sure that everything is working in my business, instead of taking care of myself and then come back with much more relaxed or rejuvenated to take care of important stuff.
So it’s really vital to not just your well being but also to your business that you take good care of yourself, that you actually plan these times in your calendar. So I already set up my next party, just to make sure I have it on my calendar and I block off the time. So there’s nothing else coming in between me and that time for me, where I can just read and relax, sleep, enjoy the environment I’m in, have a nice salad and just be with myself as well. So it’s usually it’s for me, it’s a time where I do go with him. And were really take that half a day or that day to just be with my own thoughts. I think this is something you can really, really put into your calendars as well. It doesn’t need to be a spa, maybe it’s for you, it’s a walk in the park, or it’s actually going to your favorite restaurant that you haven’t been in so long, or your favorite coffee shop or whatever it is, like taking time for yourself to just be and not do is so super vital because first we are them we do and then we have and oftentimes, we just get it in the wrong order. And we think we have to do all the stuff so we can have all the stuff. So when we have all the stuff that we finally can be the happy person, the relaxed person, the person that travels the world, the person that experiences freedom, and that’s just not true.
Now is the moment, in the present moment, you can feel all these great feelings, and you can be the person that will have all of this in the future right now. Because you become that person, everything else is going to align. So when you’re thinking about a sales conversation, for example, and you want to turn it into a fun conversation, you need to make sure you show up as your highest self, and you are open to the conversation. You’re open to listening, to feeling your potential customer, to really understand where they are, what they need. If it’s a perfect match, if it’s your soulmate client, well, obviously you want to invite them to work with you. But if not, you want to send them somewhere else. You want to make sure they have the right resources, or if they really, really want to work with you, but they can’t afford to work with you at the moment. You want to give them something that they can get started so they can get the funds to work with you.
I hope this was helpful, especially if you haven’t been out for a long time Just do it. I almost canceled my own appointment with myself in the spa. But then I read a blog post that actually Dan crucial had posted on Facebook about self-care. And I was like, “Okay, with this being said that he did burn out in the past because he didn’t take enough care of himself. And he had to learn it the hard way.” I was like, “Well, I’m definitely going to learn from Dan because he’s such an amazing entrepreneur, a superstar, he has grown so many businesses, he has failed quite a few businesses, but he really has figured it out.” And it was just the perfect timing for reading this blog post. So that I did not cancel the spa appointment that I went to that I had a great day. And yeah, that I’m back rejuvenated, having fun being excited about what I do and how I serve, because now it’s like the energy is back. And this is such a fun place. And I would love for you to be in this fun place. Because when you are in the now you have everything you need. You don’t need to worry, everything will be aligned when you show up as the highest self, you can show up at the moment, obviously, we all grow. So the highest self you have today might not be the highest self you have in a week, because you probably already have grown. But take what’s available right now and just make the best out of it.
