[00:23] When we have a sales mindset, that doesn’t really mean that we have a good sales mindset, a mindset that serves us, that supports us in making sales in serving more clients. Most of the time, the sales mindset, heart-centered people have is not that great.

[02:02] You probably have learned at some point that selling is something negative. I meet so many people from all around the world that think that you know, when you sell and ask for money, then you can’t serve or money and spirituality just don’t go together.

[03:29] You as a heart-centered, impact-driven entrepreneur, you really want to make sure that you are different.

[04:04] You need to be aware of your thoughts. And since some thoughts are coming on autopilot, it’s really difficult to figure even out what you’re thinking. And thoughts are always combined was feelings.

[06:11] When you come from that place of love, of authenticity. When you have put together your program or your product, this the best intentions, and you follow up with your clients to make sure that your products deliver what they promised. Well, then, you can only win.

[07:52] You at the end of the day you are the one that will judge, you are the one that will make the decision.

[08:30] When you are in the situation that you are selling something, that you are making an offer, that you can be yourself. That you don’t need any tricks or manipulation tactics or strategies to get people into your world. You just need to show up in the most authentic way. And if you truly believe you can help that person to get what they want, you just go for it and you make the offer.

[09:49] What we don’t want to do is we don’t want to maybe and then the person circling back in a couple of days or the week after or whatever, what we really want that the person makes a decision when they have all the information they need. And that’s usually within the conversation.

[13:07] Make sure you provide some kind of a service that people can get to know you and that can be all different kinds.

[15:07] Have a look at where in your own life, you or people that are close to you have had really bad sales experiences. And then detach yourself from that salesperson. Because when you sell you can sell with a different energy. You never ever need to be them. But also make sure that you don’t get or that you don’t block yourself. because deep down inside, you feel like you never want to be like this person that did this bad, horrible thing to you or your loved ones.

[16:40] Make sure that you shift that sales mindset into a sales success mindset. And when you know that you come from that place of love, from that place of service, that your services will help somebody, you are in the right place.

[19:33] To start shifting your mindset into a sales success mindset, you need to let go of the past, you need to detach yourself from that person who did whatever they did that you do not agree with and that you never do. And that you might be afraid of doing in the inside like unconsciously. And that’s blocking you from selling and serving.

Hey, Gorgeous. This is episode number 134. You are listening to Heart Sells! Podcast. I’m your host, Christine Schlonski. And we have a variety Friday today, I’m so super excited that you are here. And I want to dedicate the month of October to the mindset. Because when we have a sales mindset, that doesn’t really mean that we have a good sales mindset, a mindset that serves us, that supports us in making sales in serving more clients. Most of the time, the sales mindset, heart-centered people have is not that great. They love what they do. But when it comes to selling, they really don’t want to do it, they don’t feel comfortable, they feel it sleazy, pushy, achy. And that’s just not who you are. So let’s have a look and dedicate October to the sales success mindset. And I’m going to help you in the variety of Fridays with resources and my own teachings on how to shift that mindset into a sales success mindset. But let’s talk about mindset for a moment. So the mindset is something that is like your internal belief system. And you probably have learned at some point that selling is something negative. I meet so many people from all around the world that think that you know, when you sell and ask for money, then you can’t serve or money and spirituality just don’t go together. So we have all these internal beliefs that hold us back. And I found that most of the time, it really comes from having made a bad experience. And we all have been sold to at some point, we all have had a situation where we bought something and we were really disappointed. Either we didn’t get what we wanted, or we bought something and it didn’t last. Even we made a bigger and investment. And then we really freaked out on how to get that money back, how to monetize, maybe it was an online course or coaching or whatever. So I see it over and over again in the market that some salespeople or they are so pushy, and they really trick people into the products that don’t serve them so that this bad experience can even happen.

You as a heart-centered, impact-driven entrepreneur, you really want to make sure that you are different, right? That’s what I see over and over again, in the people that I coach one on one, they all want to be different in terms of they want to be the good guys. They want to change the world. And if you’re listening, you’re probably one of those amazing people as well. So let’s have a look. How can you actually change your mindset? Well, first of all, you need to be aware of your thoughts. And since some thoughts are coming on autopilot, it’s really difficult to figure even out what you’re thinking. And thoughts are always combined was feelings. So to be aware is the first very important step to actually be able to make some changes. So what I would love for you today is to just sit down and kind of think back, like what has happened in your life that might have given you the impression that sales is something negative. Is it maybe you heard your parents talking about a sleazy salesperson? Maybe you went to that car dealership, and there was a sleazy salesperson, like what was it in the life that gave you that impression?

Most of the time, it’s like one or two pretty big things that make you feel not comfortable, that don’t make you feel at ease. So once you figure that out, you can actually reframe the situation. And I’m not saying like make it good for you because it probably wasn’t. But what you can do is you can differentiate yourself from that person because you are different. So if you can kind of make that differentiation and be sure that you do not need to be this person to sell something, but you sell because you serve. And because you serve people are actually giving you their money. It is also their responsibility, it’s them making the decision, you can never make anyone decide. So you know that when you come from that place of love, of authenticity, when you have put together your program or your product, this the best intentions, and you follow up with your clients to make sure that your products deliver what they promised, well, then, you know, you can only win. Because at the end of the day, it’s a win-win situation. So I’m just going to give you the example. To see the world differently so that you can sell more, which means you make more money, which means more money gives you more opportunities to really make your dreams come true. Whatever that looks like it, maybe it looks like you want to support a good cause. Maybe you want to travel, maybe you want to give back, maybe you want to do something for your family, whatever it is for you. This is going to help you at the same time, we are also getting to know each other. So you get a feeling of like, “What am I saying? Is it authentic? Does it feel good to you?” Because you at the end of the day you are the one that will judge, you are the one that will make the decision. Is it something where you see you can take it further? You want to know more. Maybe you want to work with me in a group setting or one on one. What is it that you need? And what is it that you want? And so when we go back to find that situation where you need to reframe, where you need to differentiate yourself from that sleazy salesperson, you just need to know that when you are in the situation that you are selling something, that you are making an offer, that you can be yourself. That you don’t need any tricks or manipulation tactics or strategies to get people into your world. You just need to show up in the most authentic way. And if you truly believe you can help that person to get what they want. What then obviously, you just go for it and you make the offer. And then when you’ve done a good job and explaining what they are getting, what they are receiving when they are finished working with you, well, then the person can actually make a decision without being tricked. And so you don’t even need to be afraid that you could become a sleazy salesperson or a pushy one.

Just in terms of pushy, I just want to give you one piece of advice that I see, lots of people feel it’s pushy. On the other hand, it really, really helps the person that needs help is the topic of making decisions fast. So what we don’t want to do is we don’t want to maybe and then the person circling back in a couple of days or the week after or whatever, what we really want that the person makes a decision when they have all the information they need. And that’s usually within the conversation. Because when we have them on the phone, they can ask questions, you can describe what you are offering and how it served them. You know exactly where they are and where they want to go. So you have this deep conversation, which hopefully is a fun conversation because you’re conducting it in the right way. And then at the end of the conversation, if everything is a fit, and you can help them and they see you as a very good fit so that you actually make the offer. Please don’t stop the conversation there. Please make sure that you get a yes or no. And not maybe because that maybe will drain your energy. And that maybe will also drain the energy of the person because you know, it’s like unfinished business so to speak. It’s something that’s open that both parties need to go back to, to either get a yes or no. So once a person has all the information, they can make this informed decision. You are totally fine if it’s a no. You’re totally fine if it’s Yes, but don’t be fine with a maybe. I’m not saying that maybe they need to sleep over it tonight, maybe they need to talk to their spouse, whatever agreements they have in their own homes, we respect that. On the other hand, you don’t want to have anything dangling. And you know, waiting for some kind of solution, because it drains everybody’s energy. Just be mindful when you’re on these conversations. It has nothing to do this pushy, you’re really supporting the person and making a decision.

We all know the magic that oftentimes happens when somebody is kind of afraid a little bit because maybe they have not invested at this level. Or they are in a situation where you know, money is a bit tight. And now they say yes, that usually magic happens on there. And I’ve seen it over and over again that once one on one client has signed up and said yes, that the next day or even the same day, they also win a client to serve them. And they also make money at the same time they spend money. So have a look at your business. And at those situations that have already happened for your clients, after they made the decision to work with you. I think that’s really, really interesting to observe. And that will also help you in helping them to make the decision. Right. So I really want this helps. And I really hope that I can support you with this. So just a recap.

Make sure you provide some kind of service that people can get to know you. And that can be all different kinds right now, I am supporting you with the sales journaling to success, which is a free 30-day email course, where you get one email each day in your inbox with a journaling prompt. And then something around that journaling prompts so that you can start shifting your mindset. Because I know when you start shifting your mindset, the likeability that you are going to make money by selling this is grace and confidence is so much higher than when I’m not providing you with that service. So you get the opportunity to have a positive change in your life. And I get the opportunity that if that works for you, you want to come back for more. Right. So this is like it’s a GIF. And at the same time, it’s opening up possibilities. And you want to find a way to do that for your clients as well. Maybe you have a physical product so that you can have some samples and clients can try stuff, maybe you do have a coach and consulting business. So you want to find something to give your clients where they really really get this wonderful benefits where they can experience some kind of transformation. And then where they can really learn from it. And then they come back for more. Like this, you never have the issue that you need to feel that you are salesy, sleazy pushy, because the clients already have had a taste of who you are, what you stand for, how you work, and if they like your energy, and that’s these are all the things that will draw them in. They need to like you, trust you, that’s a foundation to be able to work with you.

So have a look at where in your own life, you or people that are close to you have had really bad sales experiences. And then detach yourself from that salesperson. Because when you sell you can sell with a different energy. You never ever need to be them. But also make sure that you don’t get or that you don’t block yourself. because deep down inside, you feel like you never want to be like this person that did this bad, horrible thing to you or your loved ones. Because they oversold, they under delivered, they over promised, whatever it is. So just remember, you are you and that’s it. There’s no need, you need to be a copycat. There’s definitely no need to repeat a pattern that you deep down inside, dislike or even hate. There’s no need that you rip somebody off just because you were ripped off by somebody. So detach yourself from that experience, from that past, because this is gonna influence how you sell. This is gonna influence your possibility to actually serve people and to make money. So you want to open that up. And make sure that you shift that sales mindset into a sales success mindset. And when you know that you come from that place of love, from that place of service, that your services will help somebody, you are in the right place. Just make sure you get the feet back off your clients, you want to start collecting testimonials, you want to have feedback calls so that you know you deliver it. That it’s not a guessing game. That you know, well, before they work with you. They charged 650 euros for their services. Now they’re working with you and they charge 5000 for the same package. And it’s not just a numbers game, the service is there. It was totally undercharged and over-delivered at the first time. And now it’s at a good price point where the delivery is even more. And the clients are super, super happy, even though they pay that amount of money. You want to tune into that so that you stop leaving money on the table, you also make sure the clients have more skin in the game. So the transformation will happen. Because we all function the same. Like if you get stuff for free, you might not value it as highly as if you have paid for it.

Obviously everybody has a different thermometer, which I mean, which means for one person $100 is a huge amount of money. For another person, it’s nothing. But these are relative to each and every single person. So you need to make sure that what you are charging is in alignment with what you are offering and you always offer more than you charge. This is not about how can I get the most money out of a person? It’s like, how is it in relation to what you offer, what you charge? So we have that. And yeah, that’s basically it for this session, to start shifting your mindset into a sales success mindset, you need to let go of the past, you need to detach yourself from that person who did whatever they did that you do not agree with and that you never do. And that you might be afraid of doing in the inside like unconsciously. And that’s blocking you from selling and serving. And then also you really want to make sure that you are on a path where you get the feedback from your clients. So you know that they are happy, and you know what kind of transformation they are getting. And it’s not guesswork anymore. And the more client feedback you collected, the better it is because each client feedback is either backing up your claim of what you can do for them, or it’s not. And if it’s not, then you got some work to do. You need to tweak some things. And maybe you need to add something or to change something and you will only find out when you have honest and open feedback. And you get that by being authentic, by being okay with criticism, by being open to feedback, because this will give you possibilities. This might give you new ideas for new products, new services. And it will definitely help you in backing up what you have created or in finding ways of how to shift it and tweak it. So it is an even better fit.

Because we do each thought comes with emotions. So if your emotions about selling are not positive, then this will block you wherever you go. Wherever you go, and you make your offer, you will feel it in your stomach, you might feel it in your throat, maybe your brain starts racing and you are afraid that you’re going to stammer on your words, or you can’t get your words out in the right way. So you need to make sure that this goes away. So that you can shine with your amazing gifts because you have gifts to give to this world. And they are people that really truly need you. So you need to stop hiding. And you need to start shining and being in the spotlight. So those people see you. There are so many lighthouses. But if your light is not turned on, people won’t see you.
