Hi Gorgeous, this is episode number 038 and you are listening to Heart Sells Podcast with your host today Christine Schlonski and welcome to variety Friday. The day of the week where you can ask your questions, where I share with you some amazing resources or where I just give you part of my knowledge that I have acquired with over a decade in high-ticket event sales over the phone plus now coaching in my coaching practice so that you can take that knowledge and just when you apply it make your business better by making more sales from your heart with being authentic and true to your values and by supporting more people making more money so that you can have the lifestyle of your dreams. So let’s dive right in into today’s episode and today I am going to share this you success secret that I learned from Hugh Hilton.

So let’s see what Hugh Hilton has a must do or an element to have when it comes to business. I just had the opportunity to join an amazing conference where he talked about the business, the business success, what’s really important to him and there’s one believe that he has that when he starts negotiating a deal that needs to be agreed upon. And that is to have fun and I was well maybe a little bit surprised about this one, even though you hear it quite often, and I’m quite sure you have experienced that as well. The more fun you have, the more money you make. And Hugh Hilton is obviously a really great example to listen to with all the deals that he has done in his life and all the success he has.

So he talked about that before starting and the negotiation for a deal or a cooperation. He is always making sure that he and his business partner agree on having fun while working on something and I realized that often I do teach my clients to have more fun in their life. And then I find myself in situations where I’m so deeply concentrated on my work that I forget about the fun part myself. So I it was a really, really good reminder for myself as well to pay more attention to this little detail. Because when you are in flow and when you enjoy the process when you have fun and what you do then you will be more successful. And I’m quite sure you have had this experience in your life. We see it with children all the time when they really enjoy themselves and they go for what they desire, they usually get the outcome. So why do we forget about this when we grow up to these serious adults? That’s actually pretty boring if you think about it.

So my question for you today is how can you integrate more fun in your business in your life? How can you make things tasks that might be even boring, more exciting for you more enjoyable so that everything just comes from flow. So I have noticed, for example, I love traveling and I am quite sure if you follow me on Facebook or if you’re listening to the podcast, maybe you already got the idea that I love traveling. But I just don’t love traveling of the sake of traveling. I always combine it with something to learn. Something to learn about a different culture. I usually have conferences or workshops or coatings myself so that I can really combine the adventure part with the learning part and really enjoy that journey even more. So what is it that you can do in your business to make things lighter, to take maybe a little bit weight off of your shoulders? Maybe you are worrying right now where your next client is going to come from or if the client that says or that said yet yes will sign your contract.

What it is where you are right now. Just take a deep breath and think about it. Where can you incorporate fun? What would that look like? How can you make sure that every day you go into that energy of fun and excitement? How can you approach a task you might not like too much in your business, but you have not yet outsourced it or you can’t outsource it. How can you go about that?

And what little things can you do that are really easy for you to do on a regular base to improve on your fun level? Right? Could you make it like a little game? Could you maybe give you little tiny goals that when you achieve that you’re doing something that’s fun as a reward? What is it that you could do?

So maybe you could reward yourself by calling a really good friend after an hour of working through to something that you don’t really like. Maybe you can reward yourself with going to the movies at the end of the week and watching something really funny. What is it? What is it that you could really enjoy?

I remember years ago when I was still in my corporate job always after lunch the energy of my team was really, really low. So I started to incorporate like right after lunch a five minute joke telling session. I’m not a good joke teller. I had to Google jokes. But what we did is we gathered after lunch and so we told a couple of jokes. And the person who didn’t know a joke, just google the joke. And then people were really excited about the jokes. And the energy level got up and everybody was more excited to go back to that task than they had before.

So what would it be that you could incorporate? Could you just Google yourself a joke after lunch or in between when you feel your energy is down to pick you back up to put that smile on your face? Or could you just smile for no reason? Because then your body is going to produce the happy hormones and it’s going to help you to actually feel happy, even though you might not be happy at that moment. Like what simple things could you do?
