Hi Gorgeous, welcome to episode number five. We are on variety Friday. This is your host Christine Schlonski and you are listening to Heart Sells! Because it does. You can be authentic, you can have fun conversations instead of sales conversations, and you can be compensated for your amazing work and for the beautiful gifts you are putting out into the world. So let’s dive into today’s topic and we’re going to cover the Sales P.O.W.E.R. Formula. I’m going to tell you what it is and then we’re going to dive into the first part so I can give you some more information and you can actually put that into action and ask yourself questions so you can start shifting your sales-mindset into a sale-success-mindset. And let’s dive right into the topic. So in last variety Friday, that was episode number two, we talked about the mindset and what the mindset has to do with a German Autobahn. So that might be of interest for you to listen to as well if you have not done so. Today, we are talking about the Sales P.O.W.E.R. Formula, which is basically a formula that I have created to shift a mindset from a simple sales-mindset, which usually is not connected to amazing feelings, to confidence when selling, to making offers with ease and grace and you know, to invite those ideal clients to buy from you.
And this is P.O.W.E.R. formula, you are going step through steps through steps so actually, you make those offers confidence, and you close a sale with ease and grace and your clients love you. Because you deliver the value, you fulfill the promise you made, so that they can have amazing results working with you, pay you what you’re worth, so that you can have fun and create your life and the lifestyle of your dreams and the business you truly desire.
So the Sales P.O.W.E.R Formula it’s basically, it’s I teach it in an eight-week online course, so with the limited time we have today, I’m just going to run you through what it is. So you understand the basics. And then we just going to start with the first part of the P.O.W.E.R Formula and I’ll give you some more information and yes, some task that if you do it, you will start shifting your mindset. So the P.O.W.E.R Formula actually stands for P for the past, then the O for the outcome, and the opportunities, the W for the why the E for the emotions and the R for results.
Pretty simple, right? So let’s dive into the P for the past. Because that is usually where we already get stuck right from the beginning. And it is really important that you get clarity and you understand where your emotions in regards to sales are coming from. Have you picked up a belief system that’s just not serving you and that’s not even your own? Because your parents always said: Well, this sleazy sales guy and you are just putting it together like oh, sleazy sales guy, so everybody that’s in sales must be sleazy.
Or you maybe you yourself made an experience that wasn’t pleasant, that has cost your money that you couldn’t do anything about it. And, you know, you just wasted money for a product or service that didn’t serve you or that didn’t fulfill the promise that was made, or there might be even experiences that were really threatening to you and had to do with a salesperson.
So what’s important for the part for P, which is a past is that you understand your personal story. How do you feel when you buy something? How do you feel when you go to a store, what is going on in your emotional word. So just to give you an example, like, for example, if you go grocery shopping, you probably just, you know, go get your stuff go to the cashier, pay and leaves a store? Well, that’s a different experience than when you go shopping, let’s say for a nice dress, or a new suit, or whatever it is, and you’re going into a boutique where you get the full attention of the salesperson. So how does that feel to you?
Are you feeling valued or appreciated when you enter the store? And you haven’t been there before? Maybe? Do you feel judged by the salesperson? Are they giving you the look like huh, do you belong here? Or are they giving you like, oh, you’re so welcome. Like what’s going on in your emotional world when you go shopping?
Just notice it all starts with awareness and with noticing things. Just notice and get more clarity of what you think and how you feel. Because if you don’t, then your subconscious will keep sabotaging and ruling your world even the thoughts and beliefs that don’t serve you anymore. That might not even be true, because you’ve just taken them on. So getting like this clarity is so so important. So how do you feel when you go shopping? And how do you want people to feel when they come shopping for your services and your products? Have you even ever thought that a person could come shopping to you? Is that something you think of? Is it something you know exactly how you want to make them feel when they come to you may be online or offline and they’re having a sale conversation with you.
And what is really important is that you know, and understand that you are making the rules. There’s no rule in the world that says you need to be a sleazy, pushy, slimy sales, the salesperson that’s a lot of s in a row. So forget about the sleazy, slimy salezy salesperson and just create your own new rule. How do you want to be when you talk to a client? And from my experience, and what I’m what I’m seeing, especially with the heart-centered people, when they make an offer, they become really, really weird, the energy shifts, they start choking, maybe they lose momentum, or they freeze up a little and you know that it’s it’s just an observation I’m making over and over and over again. And it really hurts me by just watching, because this is a moment when so many people are losing their potential customer. Because by shifting your own energy in the sales process, when making that offer, the client will pick that up and they will know that something is off. They might start questioning your service, your product, your ability to deliver because you are changing energy. So it’s super important to stand in your power, right? It’s a P.O.W.E.R. Formula, the Sales P.O.W.E.R. Formula. Stand in your power and come from that place of love, being authentic, having the conversation with your client, but also understand where your emotions are coming from. Did you make a bad sales experience? And did you think when making it, this will never happen to one of my clients when I make my offers. And then you’re not quite sure if your offer is good enough. Because you didn’t get the feedback of the clients yet. Or, you know, sometimes we are just insecure when we put new stuff into the world.
So what is going on in your emotional world? What are you saying to yourself? What are people around you saying? Where are you picking things up from your environment, from the media via social media? Where do you get those ideas from that sales is not a good thing to do?
And question that question if that is true, because once you figured out what were the negative experiences that have shaped your thinking that are now in your way to make offers with confidence, to be in your power, to ask for money, to have that value exchange, that energy exchange and to really serve and have fun when you put your things into the world… may it be in a one on one conversation, may it be online, there’s always energy behind it. And people will feel you. No matter what you do, they will feel you, they will understand what’s going on. Maybe not on a conscious level but subconsciously, they will know if you are speaking your truth. Or if you are insecure and you’re trying to cover things.
So make sure that you get the clarity that you understand where your emotions are coming from. And that you then decide to give yourself a new story. And the new story can very well be that you are an amazing person with wonderful gifts and talents that you’re putting into the world and you are inviting people to come and to be supported by you. Wouldn’t that just be a different story than when you think well, I have to sell? Who says that you have to sell? You just have to be there and shine your light and make invitations for people to come, for people to speak to you or to read your stuff or to experience what you have to offer. There’s no need to make sales hard and difficult. Let it come from your heart, with a -t-, right- your heart. That’s what we do here at Heart Sells!. Because it’s all about you being authentic, and having fun conversations and inviting people to your amazing products and services.
So I really, really hope that this has helped to give you may be a new perspective so that you can write a new story, that you can question the beliefs that you have inside of you and also to discover the beliefs some just going to give you an idea of how to discover them. Or First of all, it’s about awareness. So really listen, what are you telling yourself? And what are others in your environment, how do they speak about sales, for example, about making offers, about serving people? What kind of mindset do they have?
Because the people you surround yourself with, that says like the five to six people, you surround yourself with that that’s the average you are and that’s who you become. So if you’re surrounding yourself with negative people or with, people who are really insecure with people who do not have a lot of confidence what this would somehow rub off. So make sure you surround yourself with amazing people that you are looking up to and that you can model, and that you can get ideas of how you would love to be and what you would love to do. So I always have mentors. And I’m surrounding myself with amazing people who are much further along on their way because I want to know how they think, how they feel, what they’ve done. So I can put that into my thinking and I can create a new story for me, so that I can step up, that I can be more powerful, that I can serve so much better. And that really helps me to get to my next level. And there’s always the next level. You’ll never ever stop learning. So where do you want to be? Get really clear on it. Sit down, write it out and make a list of all the negative experiences you have had in your life in regards to sales so that you understand what might be your default reaction.
Because it could very well be that in a sales process, you are thriving. And when it comes to the point when you make the offer you start choking, you start losing your energy, you freeze up, you lose momentum, because, in your subconscious, your brain is thinking about the negative sales experience you have had, and is now making sure that this is not going to happen again. And that you are not becoming that person that has caused that negative experience in your life.
So you really want to make sure you understand how this works. And how you can create your new story. Because the good news is, you are your boss, it’s you. So you create your own story that how do you want to be when you make your offers? Think about that journal about it. Talk to people about it. And then most of all, put it into action. Stop JUST dreaming. Act NOW! How do you want to be? Decide and then just go for it. And if it doesn’t work, create a new story making your decision.
And I’m quite sure that when you come from your heart, when you’re authentic when you are true to your values, you will automatically attract the right tribe, the right people, the people you can serve best. And that’s where we all want to be in our businesses. We want to serve the right people, the people who get it, the people who love our services and products, the people who love us, the people who are not just a customer but they are fans and they can be friends at the same time and still pay you so that you can create a business and life that you just love, and I want you to have fun with that.
